In response to the continuing demand for calibration of ozone monitors in the parts per billion range (ppb levels), Spantech Products Ltd have successfully supplied the ACD Cal 2000 with micro-cells to their customers in Belgium, England and Switzerland.

Ozone monitors which use the City Technology or Sensoric ozone sensors, are known to have a one:one cross reference with Chlorine. With the Advanced Calibration Designs, Inc. (ACD) Cal 2000 gas generator, using the micro-cell which generates 0.05 to 1.00 ppm Chlorine in ambient air at flow rates up to 5 litres per minute, instrument manufacturers and end users can confidently calibrate their Ozone monitors in the 0 to 1ppm range. Originally developed for the USA market by ACD, Spantech Products Ltd have successfully introduced this technique in the European market.

ACD gas generators have now become established as a reliable method to calibrate difficult gases which are difficult to prepare and very expensive to obtain as Special gas mixtures in cylinders. New products under development at ACD include gas generators for Ammonia, Hydrogen chloride, and Lower Limit of Explosion (L.E.L.) hydrogen with ambient air as balance gas.
