Spantech Begins Countdown to Consolidated Peterlee Hub

Spantech Products Ltd has continued to develop its subsidiary, MJS Purge Systems, in Peterlee over the last year as part of a wider plan to create a consolidated production, service and distribution hub for the group.

During this period, Spantech has added additional warehouse units, increased staffing levels and invested in extensive quality control and production training across the MJS business. These developments are part of a long-term plan to bring Spantech warehouse and distribution operations into the Peterlee hub, creating one focused centre for Spantech and MJS.

The aim is to support more efficient production, servicing, distribution, technical support and administration from a single UK location.

Spantech is also installing a new telephone system that will allow its offices to work from one shared exchange. This will support one central number for sales, service, distribution, technical enquiries and administration, regardless of where staff are based.

In addition, Spantech is developing UK-based repair and servicing for ACD gas generators. The company expects to begin repairing and servicing ACD gas generators in the UK by August 2026, removing the need for units to be returned to the USA.

This process is currently being developed and tested with Richard Dance over an extended period before it is moved to the Peterlee hub in 2027, once staff are fully trained.

The countdown to Spantech’s consolidated Peterlee hub has begun.
