Calibration Gases
Calibration gases are specially formulated gas mixtures used to test and calibrate gas detection equipment, analysers, and other gas-measuring instruments. These gases are essential for ensuring equipment functions accurately, reducing the risk of false readings and non-compliance.
Cylinder Sizes We Supply
For most gas detection work we recommend disposable cylinders: no cylinder rental, no return shipping and nothing to track or send back.

Disposable Cylinders (NRC)
- No cylinder rental and no return shipping
- Lightweight and easy to carry on site
- Shelf life up to 60 months for non-reactive mixtures
- Every cylinder supplied with a certificate of analysis

High Pressure Cylinders (HPC)
Refillable cylinders for laboratories and test benches that use large volumes of gas. Sizes are water capacity, with British BS, USA CGA or European DIN valves.
Portagas
For the highest-end requirements we supply Portagas cylinders, manufactured in Houston, Texas, through a partnership dating back to 2004. Cylinders are heat-treated and fully tracked, with full ISO compliance available. Portagas (produced by Linde) supplies the highest quality ppm calibration mixtures: NIST traceable calibration and bump gases for gas detectors and industrial hygiene equipment.
- PortaGreen cylinders: recyclable, lightweight and ISO 7866 approved, more compact than standard options
- Certifications: manufacturing facilities ISO 9001:2015 certified, ISO 17025:2017 and ISO 17034:2016 accredited
- Cylinder sizes: 11 L, 34 L, 58 L, 100 L and 116 L, plus MegaCal™ variants
- Digital access: a 2D barcode on each cylinder links to its electronic Certificate of Analysis (eCOA) and Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
